Itai Reuveni

NGO Monitor | Speaker

Itai Reuveni is an expert on social movements and civil society, NGO’s role in conflict, terrorism and antisemitism. Itai is currently the Director of Communications at NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem based non-profit research institute. Itai is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program, a prestigious program run by the United States State Department. He earned a BA in Political Science and Iranian Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he also obtained an MA in Political Science and International Affairs. Between 2001-2004, Itai served in the IDF’s elite paratroopers unit, where he still doing his reserve service.

Alums for Campus Fairness harnesses the unique power of alumni to counter antisemitism on college campuses and promote fair and open dialogue regarding Israel. You can read about some of our work in articles in Middle East Forum, the National ReviewFox News, and Ithaca Journal

 

I am an alum of Yeshiva University and Florida Atlantic University, with a bachelor's degree in Jewish Studies and a PhD in education. My professional background is in the corporate and educational nonprofit sectors. As the Southeast Regional Assistant Director, I oversee alumni work combating antisemitism on college campuses from Florida through the Carolinas, and across to Texas and Oklahoma.

Hal Mettes

Chairman of We Honor Israel | Speaker

Hal Mettes is Chairman of the We Honor Israel Gala and will give a brief tutorial on Islam. He has lived in a Muslim majority country and traveled to most of the other Muslim majority countries which he has studied for over 40 years. His first trip to Israel was in 1986 and has been there numerous
times since then. He has three children, eight grandchildren and currently resides locally with his wife, Catsy.

Vince Vincent

Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Chapel Hill | Musician 

Vince Vincent is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Chapel Hill.  Prior to moving into that role, Vince served as the Youth Leader and member of the worship team. Vince is grateful for the chance to serve such a precious body of believers in Chapel Hill, NC. Calvary Chapel of Chapel Hill, since day one has been committed to simply teaching the Word of God book by book and verse by verse.

Vince hails from the northeast, growing up on Long Island as the child of two Haitian immigrants who truly lived the American dream through prayer, hard work, and determination. At the age of 8, Vince received his first professional contract with a theater company and performed in several musicals and plays. He received in BA in Music from Vassar College where he focused on vocal jazz and choral conducting and his MM in Opera Performance from Yale University where he studied as a baritone. Vince has performed in operas and art song concerts around the globe (Lincoln Center, Paris Opera, Vienna Opera houses, China, Florence, Rome, and more). Vince is most known for his portrayal of the title role in Der Kaiser von Atlantis. Vince also served as a school administrator for twelve years prior to finally surrendering to God’s calling and purpose in his life. Vince and his wife Christina are grateful to call North Carolina home and have two sons.

David Marini

Pastor Emeritus of Calvary Chapel of Chapel Hill | MC

David Marini is Pastor Emeritus of Calvary Chapel of Chapel Hill. David was the founding pastor of CCCH and led the church for 20 years until his retirement in June 2023. He remains an elder of the church, a member of its worship team, and is actively involved in foreign missions to Africa and India. Over the course of his ministry David led 5 tours to Israel to study the land, its people and the Biblical significance of its history and its future. Since retirement from full time pastoring David has had the opportunity to speak at area churches and prophecy conferences on the Biblical significance of the Jewish people and their role in yet to be fulfilled prophecy.

David began his professional life as an attorney in the firm of Harris, Beach and Wilcox of upstate N.Y. He later transitioned to corporate management as an executive at Harris Corporation and then Global Knowledge. After 23 years of law and business he transitioned once again to full time ministry when the Lord called him and his wife Michele to plant a church in Chapel Hill North Carolina. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from St. John Fisher University and a J.D. degree from Albany Law School. David and Michele are blessed with three sons and seven grandchildren.
